Sie hat einen Vater und fünf Geschwister. Ihre Mutter ist vor zwei Jahren gestorben. Ihr Vater erzieht jetzt seine Kinder allein.
Er hat keinen Job. Er arbeitet manchmal als Landarbeiter. Die Familie ist sehr arm. In Kagais Dorf ist keine Schule.
Unsere Partnerorganisation in Kenia hat die Initiative ergriffen, einen Kindergarten in dem Dorf zu bauen. Dort wohnen sehr viele Kindern. Wir haben das Dorf besucht.
Die Kinder wurden auf dem Fußboden der Kirche unterrichtet. Die Lehrerin hatte keine Unterrichtsmaterialien.
Kagai muss bald zur Grundschule. Die Grundschule ist nicht in ihrem Dorf.

It had to remain a secret. I caught the train to Haarlem very early in the morning. There, our chairman and founder of the Kidshare Foundation, Hans van Driel, was to receive a royal honour. Mayor Jos Wienen praised Hans’s dedication and enthusiasm, which have made it possible for Kidshare to build 66 schools in several African countries.
