Kidshare works with two partner organizations in the north of Tanzania: MPDI and TAWREF. With the latter, we will build a kindergarten in the village of Kawala in Hai district in the Kilimanjaro region in 2025. It is a remote area with few facilities.

The population is very motivated, becomes the owner of the project and helps with the construction. They contribute by providing local materials. Together they also form a board of the school.

Kidshare finances the project which consists of one nursery school

• Construction of the school with a large classroom and an office space
• Construction of toilets
• Installation of a large water tank
• Supply of furniture, chairs and benches for the classroom
• Supply of learning and play materials for the children
• Training of the nursery teachers
• An income generating project e.g. sheep or chickens

The latter is a one-time investment that can ensure that the school generates an income. This can be used to pay the salaries of the nursery school teachers. This project is a collaboration with the Wilde Ganzen foundation. The total costs are 25,000 euros.
