Opening of a dormitory for a girls' school

In Kenya, we have opened a large residential building at a primary school for girls. There are many orphans at this school who stay there all week. Almost 100 girls slept in bunk beds in two classrooms in a very small space. There was no running water. Partly because of this, the school had too few classrooms, and partly because of the school's excellent results, the number of pupils grew rapidly. Now the girls have a large and beautiful residential building. We celebrated this in style.

Last year, we achieved record revenue. We were able to build six new preschools, four in Tanzania and two in Uganda. This has allowed us to provide access to primary education for many children in remote villages in impoverished rural areas. In this way, we offer them real opportunities for a better future. It had to remain a secret. I caught the train to Haarlem very early in the morning. There, our chairman and founder of the Kidshare Foundation, Hans van Driel, was to receive a royal honour. Mayor Jos Wienen praised Hans’s dedication and enthusiasm, which have made it possible for Kidshare to build 66 schools in several African countries.
