Im Februar des letzten Jahres waren wir noch in Kenia, kurz vor dem Ausbruch von Corona.
Dort eröffneten wir eine neue Schule, in der die Kinder früher in Lehmhütten unterrichtet wurden.
Wir trafen auch drei unserer TOP-Girls, die an der Universität in Eldoret studieren.

It had to remain a secret. I caught the train to Haarlem very early in the morning. There, our chairman and founder of the Kidshare Foundation, Hans van Driel, was to receive a royal honour. Mayor Jos Wienen praised Hans’s dedication and enthusiasm, which have made it possible for Kidshare to build 66 schools in several African countries.
What a celebration it was! Last month, we opened a new preschool with Kidshare in the far north of Uganda. A very poor area where children have no chance without good education. The parents had built a mud hut there. There, the children were taught on the ground in the dusty sand.
