Education for disadvantaged children, We are committed to this.

Get involved and give them a future.

What we do

This is Brian. I met him in a village in rural Kenya. I smiled at Brian. “How old are you?” I asked. “Seven,” Brian said. I was shocked by his big belly, a sign of hunger. I also spoke to Jane, his mother. Jane is disabled and alone. She lives with her three children in a mud hut. She has nothing. “There is no school in our village.” Brian was born here in this remote village, in poverty. He has no chance of a better life if he cannot go to school.
Kidshare Foundation believes it is unfair that children like Brian have no future because they happen to be born in a poor country. We are determined to improve the lives of the poorest children. We do this by investing in education. We build schools in villages where there are none. We work together with local partner organizations in three countries in Africa: Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. These organizations know the villages in their area and know where most children live where there is no school and where the community is determined to work on their future.

Gemeinsam sind wir stark

I realized this again recently when a cheerful message arrived on my smartphone. It was a photo. In the photo on the right, you see a preschool we opened in February of this year in a remote village in Tanzania.

We built 10 preschools and equipped one primary school with water and shower facilities. 28 bright girls who would otherwise never have been able to afford their school and university education have graduated. We are very happy about that.

In Tanzania, we work with two partner organizations. We're working with them to build kindergartens in remote villages. TAWREF is one of these partners. We've received good news from them.

A brief overview of the goals we have achieved

Our goals

60 schools built

in Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Uganda

9 water pumps installed

in villages in Kenya that had no access to clean drinking water

80 bright girls

in Kenya given scholarships for high school and university. Without our support, they would have been sitting at home since the age of 12
